I am a freelance designer and specialise in making, modifying and adapting custom gear for EDC, Urban Survival and Bushcraft with consideration for limited SAWC (Space/Size And Weight Constraints).

Go-Tube with SOLAS Retro-Reflective Tape Simple to make if you have some SOLAS retro-reflective tape with a self adhesive backing. The tape size required to fit a standard Go-Tube is 6½cm x 4cm. There are various types available. I use marine grade retro-reflective tape which is a highly reflective marking system designed specifically for the marine environment and used on all kinds of Life Saving equipment, such as Life Jackets, Lifeboats, Liferafts, Immersion Suits, etc. It conforms to UK MCA, Ship’s Wheel MED, SOLAS and  International Maritime Organization regulation, IMO Res. A.658 (16) and meets U.S. Coast Guard specification 46 CFR Part 164, Subpart 164.018/5/0. It is approved by numerous national authorities around the globe. This retro-reflective tape is coated with an aggressive, pressure-sensitive adhesive. It applies easily to flexible or rigid surfaces. Ideal for hanging on your bag via a ITW Nexus Grimlock Karabiner; even with a weak flashlight the SOLAS retro-reflective tape can be spotted from a distance of 70-80 metres away and past 250 meters at night using a Surefire G2!
