I am a freelance designer and specialise in making, modifying and adapting custom gear for EDC, Urban Survival and Bushcraft with consideration for limited SAWC (Space/Size And Weight Constraints).

Pendant Rig - 550 Neck Carry “Breakaway” Lanyard I have never worn 550 paracord around my neck for obvious reasons. As an alternative I have used the military dog tag ball chains and recently sourced a black plastic ball style chain to get through metal detectors etc With the Breakaway 550 Connector installed neck carry with 550 cord is an excellent option for neck carry with the added bonus that you can colour match the cord to suit your requirements. The cord in the picture is ACU Digital. The Breakaway 550 Connector is formed by a plastic male-female connector designed to “breakaway” when force is applied (firm tug). The cord is feed through the connectors and tied at each end to sit firmly within the connectors. Gutted or 7 strand cord can be fitted. If fitting 7 strand simply heat the ends and press against a heat resistant surface to form a mushroom end to prevent it from slipping through the connector. I have also added a QD (Quick Detach) String Connector for my Photon Freedom Flashlight. The ends of the connectors will allow a Go-tube to be added/removed. Suitable for a small knife or other EDC items. This item will be supplied in the new year via OscarDelta SPD complete with 550 cord already fitted (various color options). QD String Lanyard is also an optional extra.
