SERE Black Ops Grab Bag

If you are looking at the bag and thinking “is that it?” then I have achieved my objective in replicating a bag that I had in the early 90’s. Think of it as a Street Sleeper - great performance, but understated looks.

This is a true grab bag; nothing fancy and that’s one advantage over other types of grab and bug-out bags. The SERE Black Ops Grab Bag is designed to be low-profile with an appearance very similar to the common draw-string bag so it shouldn’t get a second look. Absent of side release buckles, straps and MOLLE webbing you are less likely to snag on anything when getting out of Dodge.

My original grab bag was constructed using material harvested from a decommissioned parachute (it was also green). I would either use it as my every day carry, stuff it in a pocket when empty or use it as a inner bag when carrying a large pack (contained essential items in the event that the main pack was cached/ditched).

My new SERE Black Ops Grab Bag is constructed using a single piece of Black Rip-stop Nylon providing a light weight, water repellent nylon fabric with inter-woven ripstop reinforcement threads in a crosshatch pattern. This material resists ripping or tearing.

Also features:

• Triple stitching and Kevlar thread reinforcement.

• Fully adjustable with ITW Nexus hardware; cord ends and twin-hole spring-locks.

• Black GSA Compliant 550 Paracord.

• Compact (19 x 15 inches); when empty can be folded and placed in a cargo pocket etc.
  

• Lightweight (97g)
